Day 194 ~ Introducing Dee Dee!

She has arrived! I'd like you all to meet Dee Dee (as in "Dressmaker's Dummy"). She'll be living with us for the next few months...first as a proxy for Jacquie and then, later, for Stacey. Dee Dee's size can easily be adjusted (by use of screws and wing nuts) - which is quite handy since my two girls are proportioned quite differently!
Over the next days and months, you will see her in various stages of dress...as I endeavor to fashion this gown for Jacquie...

I have adjusted Dee Dee's height to match Jacquie's diminutive stature and see that the 'undergarment' is quite long (I had to tuck it under at the waist a few times...). That will need adjustment...but this is a minor detail at this point! We are moving along on schedule and attending to things as they present themselves. That's the only way I know to keep my sanity!
