This blog is devoted to the 200 days leading up to the day my daughter married her prince in an outdoor ceremony in New Hampshire on May 1, 2006. It was a dream-come-true kind of day. The weather was perfect, the bride was beautiful and the groom was the handsome man by her side. They honeymooned in Hawaii and Maine and returned to Camp Berea to continue working with the kids who return every year. This site is dedicated to the newlyweds. Lots of love to you both!
Here it is...the beginning of the real thing! I figured out how to do French seams (I remember doing them in Home Ec. in 1970!) in the organza layer. And the satin came together beautifully...very nice fabric to work with. Then I pressed the seams (another thing I remember from Home Ec.) and pinned it to Dee Dee. I think this is enough for the day. I am exhausted!
