Day 45 ~ relief

I stopped to see my mom at the hospital after work tonight and I was so relieved to see how good she looked! This was such a good decision! She is relaxed and content, her shortness of breath has disappeared and she seems happy. She no longer has to struggle to get to the bathroom or into bed. Now there are two or three nurses with strong backs and the knowledge of the proper way to transfer non-ambulatory patients to help her with that. She spoke with the social worker from the skilled unit today and mentioned that her friend Agnes was living there. The social worker is looking into the possibility of putting my mom in with Agnes when she moves over to the unit - probably on Saturday. Wouldn't that be a wonderful situation?
