Day 192 ~ Taking shape...

If I squint really hard, I can actually see Jacquie wearing this, can't you? Well, not this one! This is the muslin pattern I will use to measure the satin and organza! Here is the beginning of the assembly...and I am relieved (so relieved) that Jacquie chose a simple design. I finished cutting out the pattern this afternoon and stitched together the skirt, the bodice and the bodice lining in a couple of hours. The zipper is not yet sewn in but, with Dee Dee standing in, I can pin the dress to her and see that the fitting is pretty accurate! Hopefully, Jacquie measured herself pretty well and this will fit her, too! I could not put the boning in tonight because I have to get it straightened out! It was coiled in a circle and was curved that way...so I coiled it in the opposite way and pinned it with a clothes pin.
Time to spend some time with my sweetie...(and CSI). Check in tomorrow!
