This is one of the pieces of my past that was always present in the living room at my mom & dad's house. It's Grandpa's bookcase (it still has the delivery label with his name and address on the back) - but it never held books. It always contained grandma's knick-knacks and mom's collectibles (we found a souvenier plate from the 1964 New York World's Fair and a glass cup with "Hazel" etched on it - something our grandma brought back from the county fair in 1917). Now it's in my dining room.

When we removed the piles of magazines and rolls of maps of PA fishing streams and stacks of family photographs, we found this beauty of a table hiding underneath. I had to turn on my sisterly charm to talk my brother into letting me bring this home...big sisters sometimes do have clout!
